The town was first settled in 1864 by John Chapman. Wrightstown enjoys a seasonal climate with four distinctly beautiful seasons. Summers are moderate with highs reaching into the mid 90s, while winters can be cold and snowy, with temperatures dipping into the mid to high teens.
The oldest village in Wrightstown is Penns Park. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the location of the Smith log cabin, built in 1865 and believed to be the oldest log cabin in Bucks County.
The village of Wycombe is also on the National Register of Historic Places. It is known for its 19th century Victorian architecture that is prevalent throughout the village.
